We’re delighted to announce that on Thursday 17th December we won the British Quality Foundation award for Continuous Improvement.
It still hasn’t quite sunk in that a few weeks ago we were named as the Lloyds Bank Employer of the year 2020 and now we’re winners of the BQF Continuous Improvement Award!
The awards were held virtually on Thursday 17th December. We enjoyed the royal opening from HRH The Princess Royal (Princess Anne) and watching the many fantastic organisations that also won awards during the evening.
A special congratulations to Fundación Solidaridad por Colombia who won the Environmental Responsibility award that we sponsored this year.
We’ve focussed a lot on Continuous Improvement over the past couple of years. A couple of key projects that support continuous improvement include:
- Our 1% Improvement suggestion system, allowing anyone to suggest improvements.
- Empowering colleagues to make decisions and improvements themselves.
- Our Vision Zero program, focussing on reducing picking errors and learning from our mistakes.
- Our industry-first Stock Guarantee.
- Online ordering.
This is a fantastic way to round-up a year that has certainly been like no other. We look forward to what next year brings, we’ve been very busy planning how we can continue to build on our success in 2021 and continue to deliver a fantastic service for our customers.
