Tournaire's OmniPlus™: Sustainable innovation in technical packaging

The aluminium specialist, Tournaire, continues to innovate in the technical packaging sector, with the introduction of their Omni Plus™ range, available exclusively in the UK from Invopak.

Monobloc construction delivers a seamless performance

These containers are engineered to deliver sustainability and performance in every bottle.  The bottles are made using the mono-bloc aluminium construction that Tournaire is known for. Every container is extruded from a single piece of aluminium; there are no welds or seams. Eliminating the weak points inherent in material joints delivers enhanced protection against leaks, cracks and contamination, which is vital when packaging precious and sensitive liquids.

The new range is 7% lighter than standard bottles. This has been made possible through a specific deep drawing process. This manufacturing method enables the wall thickness of the canister to be micro-adjusted along its length, allowing for a perfect balance between strength and weight.

Tournaire’s Omni Plus™ was designed to close the loop

Omni Plus™ bottles utilise a unique closure system specifically designed for simple recycling. The collar and cap use a minimal number of components that can be easily dismantled post-use, allowing the entire package to enter an effective recycling stream. This aligns with the new European PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulations) on reusability and recyclability.

Tournaire's Omni Plus bottles have been engineered to facilitate easy recycling

The body of the bottle is made from pure aluminium, which can be recycled forever. Aluminium also has one of the highest recycling rates of any packaging material at 68%, according to the latest figures from the Environment Agency, making it a more sustainable option. There are other benefits to aluminium packaging. Aluminium is strong, lightweight and corrosion-resistant, and has excellent barrier properties against air, humidity, light, oxidation, and other external factors that can degrade the product. This makes aluminium bottles suitable for protecting the most demanding liquids such as essential oils, flavours and fragrances.

Invopak and Tournaire: Meeting the demands of technical packaging

Omni translates as, “of all things”, and the Omni Plus™ bottles have been engineered to do just that. They offer improved performance, easier recycling and optimal ergonomics. They, along with all other Tournaire products, are available to order exclusively in the UK from us. See the complete Tournaire range here or get in touch with the team to find out more.
