Metal Packaging FAQs

Are lids included?
Closures are not usually included and need to be selected separately from the drop-down closures menu on the individual product page. This is also where you'll find securing clips, pail rings and other useful accessories.

What's the difference between lacquered and plain?
Plain tins have an uncoated finish on the inside and are used for solvent-based products.
Lacquered tins are coated with a protective interior finish and are designed for water-based products.

What is tinplate?
Tinplate is a thin sheet of steel coated with a layer of tin. This material is ideal for making paint tins and pails because it's strong, durable and easy to weld.
