Volumetric Glass Flasks
Our volumetric glass flasks are Class A certified and come with matching glass PE stoppers for pharmaceutical and scientific use. Our volumetric flasks are made from Borosilicate 3 glass, so they have high thermal resistance, chemical durability and excellent optical clarity.
The flasks have a narrow neck for use with stoppers when conducting sealed reaction experiments and gas collection, and the long neck is specifically engineered for high- precision volume measurement. The borosilicate measuring glass has high thermal shock resistance, so the flasks can also be heated safely.
Each graduated flask has an easy-to-read white measuring scale and marking block made from fired-on ceramic enamel. This means the scale markings are chemically resistant and highly durable. It has a batch-trace certificate for high-accuracy science and lab work. These conical glass volumetric flasks are suitable for laboratory use.
The benefits of volumetric glass flasks
- Spill prevention: The sloped side and narrow neck are designed to allow the contents to be mixed or swirled without the liquid splashing out.
- High stability: The broad, flat base gives a high degree of stability, so the flask won't get knocked over easily
- Reduced evaporation: The narrow neck helps to reduce liquid loss and vapour escape.
- Liquid-tite stopper cap design: The fitted cap creates a secure seal designed so the flask can be safely inverted without leaking
- Calibrated TC volume level: A clearly marked, accurately calibrated volume level for precision lab work.
Common industry applications for volumetric glass flasks
- Diluting stock solutions: They can be used to dilute concentrated liquids to precise volumes.
- Analytical chemistry: They are designed for precision volumetric measurements, so they can be used to prepare exact chemical reagents needed for all types of experiments and analysis.
- Calibration standards: Volumetric flasks can be used as a reference standard to calibrate other lab instruments
