Can plastic buckets be recycled?

Yes, all of our plastic buckets can be recycled after use. They are made of a single type of plastic, PP, which is simple to recycle too.

What type of plastic are plastic buckets made from?

Plastic buckets are typically made from polypropylene (PP) plastic. This plastic is durable, lightweight, with high impact resistance. Invopak's standard buckets are made from virgin PP plastic, whilst our recycled buckets are made from a mix of virgin and recycled PP polymer.

What sizes of plastic buckets are available?

What are the benefits of recycled plastic buckets?

Buckets made from recycled plastic are more sustainable, and they are also exempt from plastic tax, making them a good value option too.

Are recycled plastic buckets food grade?

Due to the nature of recycled plastic, recycled plastic buckets are not food grade. If you require a food safe packaging, please choose from our standard range.

What are recycled plastic buckets made from?

Invopak's recycled plastic buckets are made from a mix of virgin PP plastic and recycled PP plastic. The mix is typically 70% recycled plastic to 30% virgin plastic.

Do food-grade plastics contain BPA?

BPA has now been banned in the EU, and the UK looks likely to follow suit. It is still important to check the manufacturer's specification with your supplier.

Are all plastic buckets food grade?

No, not all plastic buckets are food grade. Buckets made using recycled plastic are not food grade due to the nature of recycled plastic, and some buckets may contain BPA, which means they are less suitable for food use. All of Invopak's standard buckets are food safe and BPA free. Please get in touch for more information or if you need migration certificates.

How can I identify a food grade bucket?

Food grade buckets typically have a cup and fork symbol, all of Invopak's standard buckets are food grade and BPA-free.

What colours of plastic buckets can you buy?

Many of our buckets are available in white, black and clear options, whilst grey is the standard across our recycled range. All other colours are available on an order-to-order basis. Please get in touch with the team if you require something special.
